Nebraska’s harvest delayed by rain and snow

Rain and snow have slowed Nebraska’s harvest pace.

As of Sunday, corn harvest was 25 percent complete, equal to the five-year average. But soybean harvest, at 38 percent, was well behind the 54 average for mid-October.

Sorghum harvest was 32 percent complete, slightly ahead of average.

Seventy-five percent of winter wheat had emerged and the crop was rated 65 percent good to excellent.
