Pace of Iowa’s soybean harvest slowest ever for mid-October

The pace of Iowa’s soybean harvest is the slowest ever recorded for mid-October.

As of Sunday, only 19 percent of the soybean crop had been harvested. That’s 11 days behind average and the smallest percentage of the soybean crop harvested by October 14th since records began.

Seventeen percent of Iowa’s corn for grain crop was harvested, compared to 24 average.
