4-H challenges youth to create technology

More than 150,000 students are creating technology throughout the month of October through the 4-H program.

The 11th annual 4-H National Youth Science Day that began on October 1st, is a way to interest kids in science, engineering, technology and math through hands-on activities.

This year’s challenge, Code Your World, is designed by Google and West Virginia University Extension Service. The challenge teaches kids computer science skills through activities such as digital animation, gaming and dance.

To participate in National Youth Science Day activities visit the national 4-H website.
