Treworgy’s, the longest continually running corn maze in Maine, covers 4 acres and is made from some 60,000 corn plants grown to a height of about 10 feet tall. The 2018 theme is Corn Ships Ahoy.

Best Destination for Fall Foliage: Michigan's Upper Peninsula

Just about the entire Upper Peninsula puts on a display of fall color that peaks during the last two weeks of September and the first week of October. A favorite fall experience for leaf peepers is the drive along M-26 along the shores of Lake Roland and past the trees of Copper Country State Forest.

Best Haunted Attraction: The Lewisburg Haunted Cave in Lewisburg, Ohio

Best Haunted Destination: Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, W.V.

Purportedly one of West Virginia's most haunted sites, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum opened its doors in 1864. By the 1950s, the facility was operating way over capacity with inhumane conditions. The facility is also a National Historic Landmark.

Best Haunted Hotel: Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah, Nev.

Built in 1907, the Mizpah Hotel in haunted Tonopah has many spirits supposedly roaming its halls, including Rose, a prostitute murdered by a jealous gambler. Guests report items that mysteriously move and an old elevator whose doors randomly open and close.

The Kings Island coasters aren’t the only things making park guests scream. Come September, the park’s annual Halloween Haunt adds frightening mazes and live shows designed with one purpose: scare you just enough to haunt your dreams until next year’s event comes ‘round.
Among the upcoming attractions, along with all the rides Kings Island fans love, the Kill Mart department store-themed house, Slaughter House and a musical stage show: Monster Rock.
