Joy Clair & Therm-o-web Cross Promotion

Hello friends and welcome! We’re excited to kick off a complete week of Inspiration for you with our friends at Therm-0-web! If you’re not familiar with them it’s time to! Therm-o-web is known for their fabulous foil, interfaces and more! They have the most amazing quality and colors of foil and all that we need to make our creations using Joy Clair Stamps. We are totally sure that during this week you will be truly inspired and will find something special for everyone!

Today I want to share with you this amazing combination of products between Therm-o-web and Joy Clair. I am fascinated with all that we can do with this foil and how it embellished our creations.

I prepared three different cards to show both products. You know that my style is CAS but I love techniques so today you will looking different techniques in my cards.

The first project is this card that I made using a stencil, Deco foil Transfer Gel (OTS | SB), Fancy Foil Transfer Gina K. Designs in Mango (OTS | SB) color and the new stamp set Pearl of Great Price.

The process to create this card was very simple:

1. Take a piece of whisper white card stock and secure it with a plastic stencil. In my project I am using the Mini Flying Bird Doily from The Crafters Workshop TCW (retired)
2. Cover the free areas of the stencil with Decofoil Transfer Gel (OTS | SB). 
3. Let the gel dry. Normally it takes one hour but in my project I let overnight.
4. Cover the stenciled area with a piece of Gina K Deco Foil Mango (OTS | SB).
5. Put the “sandwich” inside of folded parchment paper and pass it through your Minc (SB) or laminator (OTS). I used my minc setting in 3
6. Let your foiled piece a side for a while.
7. In a separate piece of card stock whisper white stamp the images from the stamp set Pearl of Great Price. To stamp mine I used  Encore Gold Ink and Clear Embossing Powder.  
8. Melt the powder with the heat tool and resize your stamped layer.
9. Paste the stamped layer over the foiled layer using dimensional.
10. Paste the decorated layers over a Basic Black card stock and embellish your card if you consider necessary.

My second card is a Christmas card that I made using a metal stencil, iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Wild Cherry (OTS | SB) and the new stamp set Vintage Ornaments (JC).

Let me share with you some details about this card:

1. Basically I used the same process used with the plastic stencil. I took a piece of whisper white card stock and a metal stencil. I am using the Dreamweaver Poinsettia Metal Stencil.
2. I applied a thin layer of Therm-o-web Transfer Gel (OTS | SB) but I noticed that with this type of stencils the layer look a thick in comparison with the layer created with plastic stencils.
3. Let the card stock dry very well before to create the “sandwich” with the iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Will Cherry (OTS | SB) and the folded parchment paper.
4. Pass the sandwich through your Minc (SB) or laminator (OTS). I used my minc setting in 3.
5. With scissors (OTS) fussy cut the foiled design and resized.
6. I stamped the branch image included on the stamp set Vintage Ornament (JC)over a piece of whisper white card stock using Kaleidacolor Ink Fresh Greens to have different tones of green in the same image. Then I sponged softly the stamped images with Desert Sand Memento Ink.
7. For the card base I used basic black card stock and stamped on the right corner one of the sentiments included on the stamp set Vintage Ornaments (JC) with VersaMark and Gold Embossing Powder. I melted the powder with the heat tool
8. I resized the stamped whisper white layer  and with a oval die  (SB) cut I created a window to see though it the sentiment stamped over the basic black card base.
9. I pasted the stamped layer directly over the card base and then pasted the foiled poinsettia with dimensionals over the stamped images and embellished with some sequins.

My last card is a card that I made using a Gina K Foil Mate Swirls & Flourishes (OTS | SB | HS), Deco Foil Transfer Sheet Emerald Watercolor (OTS | SB) and the new stamp set New Year New Me.(JC)

I resized one of the designs of Foil Mate (OTS | SB | HS) and covered with Deco Foil Sheet Emerald Watercolor (OTS | SB).

Then I created the sandwich with the folded parchment paper and passed it through the minc (SB). I resized the layer and pasted over the basic black card base.

In a separate piece of whisper white card stock I stamped some of the sentiments included on the stamp set New Year New Me using two different colors of Memento Ink. I used Tuxedo Black and Rhubard Stalk.

Using one of the Glitter Dust Photo Frames Gold (OTS) from Therm-o-web, I created a frame for my stamped images and mat it with a piece of basic black card stock and pasted over the foiled background with dimensionals.
