Former state Sen. Scott Wagner speaks with the media following his speech to the Rotary Club of York at the Country Club of York on Sept. 12. The Republican spoke about the opioid epidemic and education, along with his blue-collar roots. Wagner is campaigning against incumbent Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, also of York County.

Scott Wagner is officially "tapped out."

The Republican nominee for Pennsylvania governor is expressing the need for more funds, saying he's already invested more than $10 million of his own money into the race and is "tapped out."

Wagner also claimed in a campaign email that there are notable Republicans working against him and has accused them trying to undermine his campaign.

The campaign hasn't said which Republicans he's referring to though.

On Wednesday, the campaign hosted a fundraiser headlined by Fox News host Jeanine Pirro in an effort to garner more donations.

A few days ago, Wagner's campaign released an email reading:

"I am appealing to everyone — but especially to the large number of business owners, professionals, and highly successful people who have a mindset that they don’t need to, or won’t make political contributions.”
