In my head, I think of Tommy Hilfiger as a brand that stopped evolving in about 1990 along with Ralph Lauren. I don’t really feel I have a reference point for it at all, but it’s about to get a boost from a social media campaign featuring various (American?) influencers. Obviously, ‘girl’ is set at a younger audience, but actually, if you like a lightly sweet floral with citrus notes, it’s a very wearable fragrance.
Bearing in mind that the 30ml is £20 and the 100ml £35, it’s a reasonably affordable every day wear fragrance that sits easily on the skin. It’s exactly the kind of fragrance that Lucy likes so I think I know where this is destined to go but I could just as easily wear it myself. Notes are spearmint, tangerine, magnolia, honeysuckle, cashmeran and musk which I think tidily tells you exactly what you can expect. ASOS has it HERE.

Good point about this brand! There’s a huge glam Hilfiger store in our retail ‘Champs Elysées’ here in Cork, and nothing would induce me to go in and nose around. It’s like it’s not fully present in my consciousness. I have a vague notion of Timberland-y boots and padded anoraks, but that’s about it! Aimed at whom, I dunno.
Maybe these ‘influencers’ will turn things round and lure in the likes of moi at last.
