Police log: Man accused of abusing 11-year-old boy

Jan. 2015 - June 2018: A man is accused of abusing an 11-year-old Chambersburg boy over the course of several years in Hamilton Township, Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg said. Authorities are currently investigating the incident. 

Sept. 21: Two dogs were taken from a home on Sandy Circle in Greene Township after officers responded to a report of animal cruelty at about 2:30 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. The dogs are currently in the care of the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.

Oct. 2: No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash in which a Nissan struck the back of another car at about 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg said. 

Oct. 4: No one was injured in a crash in which a Dodge truck struck a utility pole on New Franklin Road at about 5:40 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg.

Oct. 4: Officers responded to a report of trash that was thrown onto the roof of Fine Wine and Spirits on Lincoln Way East at about 6:52 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg said. Charges have been filed. 

Greencastle area

Oct. 1: Pennsylvania State Police were called to a domestic dispute between two Greencastle women at about 8:30 p.m. on Molly Pitcher Highway.

Oct. 2: A Chambersburg woman and a Waynesboro man suffered possible minor injuries after the car they were in was driven off the road through a ditch and then rolled over at about 9 p.m. on Grindstone Hill, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. Both were taken to Chambersburg Hospital.
