Chambersburg Police Department officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, according to court documents. Whitedress was lying on the floor and shouting at people in the home. She got up and tried to push past one of the officers. The officers sat her down on the floor, and she began swinging her arms at them.

Because of her violent behavior, officers placed her in custody, according to court documents. She resisted being handcuffed by kicking her legs. After she was warned that she would be shocked with a stun gun, Whitedress stopped resisting. She yelled obscenities at police as she was taken to the patrol vehicle and twice tried to pull away from the officer. During the ride to the police station she continually kicked at the rear glass and yelled.

She lunged at police when she came out of the vehicle, according to court documents. An officer got her under control. The officer took her to a holding cell and removed her handcuffs. As soon as the cuffs were off, Whitedress swung at the officer and hit him in the face. She was placed in cuffs again.

Her preliminary hearing is set for 8:15 a.m. on Oct. 16 in Franklin County Central Court at the courthouse in Chambersburg.
