Lansing man faces attempted murder charge after weekend downtown shooting
LANSING — A Lansing man is facing multiple charges in connection with a shooting at a downtown party over the weekend.
Dennis Keith Wardlaw, 29, is accused of shooting a 21-year-old Grand Rapids man in the 200 block of S. Washington Square early Sunday morning, police said.
Police responded just before 1:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired at a large party in the area.
The 21-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Wardlaw was taken into custody.
Wardlaw was arraigned Sunday in Ingham County 54A District Court on attempted murder, felonious assault and two weapons offenses.
He posted $150,000 bail and was no longer in the Ingham County Jail Monday morning.
