Sexual assault reported in library at Lansing Community College

LANSING — A sexual assault was reported on Lansing Community College's campus Tuesday, officials said in a text alert. 

The assault was reported at 2:30 p.m. at the school's library located at 400 N Capitol Ave., according to a text alert sent to students Tuesday afternoon. 

The message's recipients were asked to call (517) 483-1800 with information. 

LCC police declined to comment and directed questions to the school's media relations department. Karen Tommasulo, internal communications coordinator, said the college had no comment on the incident.

As of 5 p.m., the college has not posted information about the incident on its social media pages or website.
