Charter boat lands on top of sailboat in Chesapeake Bay crash
No serious injuries were reported in boat collision off of Thomas Point in Anne Arundel County when a charter fishing boat ran into a sailboat.
The 37-foot fishing boat Hunter owned by Chesapeake Bay Charter Services of Kent Island collided with and landed on top of the J105 sailboat owned by Chesapeake Boating Services of Annapolis, said Candy Thomson, spokeswoman for Maryland Natural Resources Police.
The Anne Arundel Fire Department responded to the scene at about noon Friday, followed by Natural Resources Police, she said.
The investigation was later turned over to the Coast Guard, Thomson said.
