Larry Nassar survivors to be honored at 2018 ESPN ESPYS Awards
Larry Nassar, the disgraced Michigan State and USA Gymnastics doctor, was sentenced to 60 years in prison on federal child pornography charges and later to decades in prison on sexual assault charges.
On Wednesday, athletes who were both the catalyst of his fall and victims of his abuse will be honored at the 2018 ESPN ESPYS with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.
This year's ESPYS will air live on ABC at 8 p.m.
Hundreds of women and at least one male have come forward to speak out against Nassar. This award will be given to recognize their courage for speaking about their experience.
