Gwen Anderson: “I want my two boys to see their mom stand up for what she knows is right, and I want my students to see that I am doing what I encourage them to do every day, which is being the change you want to see in this world, and I want to see that this never happens to anyone again and that those responsible are held accountable, and being here today and telling my story is part of that change.”

Larry Nassar, the disgraced Michigan State and USA Gymnastics doctor, was sentenced to 60 years in prison on federal child pornography charges and later to decades in prison on sexual assault charges

On Wednesday, athletes who were both the catalyst of his fall and victims of his abuse will be honored at the 2018 ESPN ESPYS with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

This year's ESPYS will air live on ABC at 8 p.m.

Hundreds of women and at least one male have come forward to speak out against Nassar. This award will be given to recognize their courage for speaking about their experience.
