Police: Grand Ledge death investigation remains open

GRAND LEDGE - An investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found inside a vehicle last week remains open, police said.

Grand Ledge Police Chief Martin Underhill said no foul play is suspected in the death of the 69-year-old Dimondale woman.

Her body was discovered in the back seat of a sport-utility vehicle parked at the Meijer store on East Saginaw Highway on Thursday night. Investigators believe the woman had been dead for days, Underhill said.
