A woman was arrested Friday night after allegedly striking her ex-boyfriend several times with her fists and even once with a weapon of her own choice: a bug spray container.

Samantha Jo Eaton, 29, of Dover, Pa., faces a misdemeanor assault charge and a summary harassment charge after allegedly striking Joseph Conrad several times at his friend's residence in Warrington Township, according to court documents.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Honey Road shortly after 9 p.m. Friday after receiving a call regarding a domestic dispute. When they arrived, Conrad said that he had been at his friend's home when Eaton, his ex-girlfriend, arrived.

Conrad claims that he was sitting on a bench on the deck of the residence when Eaton grabbed the collar of his shirt, pulled him off of the bench and to the ground. Eaton then began to hit Conrad in the head and face using both her hands and fists, according to court documents.

When Conrad attempted to get up from the ground, Eaton grabbed his collar to restrain him and continued to hit him. Conrad tried to push Eaton's shoulders in an attempt to get away from her, but he proved unsuccessful, according to court documents.

That's when Eaton then allegedly used a bug spray container to strike Conrad on the head.

Police said they observed a scratch on the back of Conrad's neck accompanied by some moderate bruising. They also said his collar was distressed as if it had been stretched and pulled, according to court documents.

Eaton posted bail, set at $10,000, and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Friday, June 29 at 9:30 a.m.
