YAIAA baseball coaches name Players of the Year and all-stars

His senior season isn't over yet, but Dallastown's Nick Parker has already earned a major accolade for his strong spring. 

The YAIAA coaches released their all-stars selections on Thursday, with the Wildcats third baseman/pitcher being named Division I Player of the Year. In the regular season, the Coastal Carolina commit hit .328 with a .467 on-base percentage while going 5-1 with a 0.31 ERA on the mound. He leads a Dallastown team that will face Red Lion on Tuesday for a berth in the District 3 Class 6A title game. 

Red Lion manager Kevin Lawrence has been honored as Division I Coach of the Year for leading the Lions to a 13-6 record. Red Lion finished in second place behind Dallastown but beat the Wildcats twice.

In Division II, Gettysburg sophomore pitcher/shortstop Zach Ketterman was named Player of the Year. The three-sport standout hit .387 with a .519 on-base percentage while going 3-1 with a 2.23 ERA. West York's Robbie Bertucio was named Division II Pitcher of the Year after going 4-1 with a 1.04 ERA. York Suburban's Casey Markey was named Coach of the Year for leading the Trojans to 10-9 record and a berth in the District 3 Class 4A playoffs a year after going 1-17. 

In Division III, Eastern York junior shortstop Bren Taylor was named Player of the Year after a dominant spring in which he hit .609 with a .640 on-base percentage and a 1.072 slugging percentage. He also hit three home runs and drove in 27 RBIs in 19 games. Littlestown's Robert Rohrbaugh was named Coach of the Year for leading the Bolts to a 14-4 record after they went 7-11 in 2017.

In Division IV, York County Tech senior first baseman/pitcher Luke Greisler was named Player of the Year after hitting .446 with a .536 on-base percentage and a .732 slugging percentage. He also hit two home runs, drove in 17 RBIs and posted a 2.78 ERA in 10 pitching appearances. York Tech's Mark Stuckey was named Coach of the Year after leading the Spartans to a 9-10 record. The Spartans went 7-13 last season.
