Body found at abandoned Boston Edison building

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found outside of an abandoned building in Detroit's Boston Edison District.

Detroit — The body of 37-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to the head Tuesday morning in the city’s historic Boston Edison district, police said. 

The man's body was found at 8 a.m. outside a large abandoned building on the John C. Lodge Service Drive and Clairmount Avenue. 

Police said a witness called 911 to report a victim down in the area and medics responded.

Detroit police and crime scene investigators dispatched to the location, where the body remained on scene as of 10 a.m.
