Kennard-Dale's Maddie Day passes under pressure from Susquehannock's Emma Stiffler during a game last season.

Even if it hasn't always felt like spring this April, we are actually inching closer to the heart of the regular season. Some of the best athletes in the YAIAA have continued to record standout performances, and GameTimePA is once again relying on readers to make their votes count.

After pinpointing some of those standout performances, GameTimePA is asking readers to vote for the league's Athletes of the Week.

The spring season includes the best athletes in boys' lacrosse, girls' lacrosse, boys' volleyball, boys' tennis, softball, baseball, boys' track and girls' track.

The Athletes of the Week polls open each week on Sunday morning and closes at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The winners will be announced on GameTimePA.

Last week in the girls' poll, Central York softball player Courtney Coppersmith edged Eastern York's Kelsey Felix. Coppersmith received more than 700 votes. In the boys' poll, Red Lion baseball pitcher Tyler Burchett earned more than 3,800 votes to win the weekly honor.
