Delcenia G.Clendenny, 81, of rural Mozier, IL passed away Thursday (4-12-18) at Liberty Village in Pittsfield.
Delcenia was born April 1, 1937 in Hamburg, a daughter of Vern Edward and Helen Degerlia Watters.
Delcenia graduated from Hardin High School in 1956.
She married Terry Don Clendenny on June 6, 1957 in Mozier and he survives.
Delcenia was a homemaker and farm wife. She loved her flowerbeds and raising pumpkins. She enjoyed going boating with her family. She especially enjoyed trips to Wisconsin at Christmas time and snowmobiling with all of her family. When spring came around she looked forward to going mushrooming with her sister.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Don Clendenny of rural Mozier, three sons, Terry Lee (Debbie) Clendenny, Tim (Leanne) Clendenny and Todd (Camila) Clendenny all of Mozier, grandchildren, Terry Lee (Kaylynn) Clendenny of Bowling Green, MO, Amanda (Mike) Moore of Hamburg, Tausha (Chris) Myers of Atlas, Randy (LeAnne) Clendenny of Pleasant Hill, Ashley (Jeana McLaughlin) Clendenny of Merrillville, IN, Ryan (Lindsey Grammer) McCormick of Clarksville, MO, Cody Clendenny and Colton (Hailey McElfresh) Clendenny, both of Mozier and Mariska and Gabrael Teel of Mozier, great-grandchildren, Reagan and Landon Clendenny, Lexi, Stephen, and Sophie Moore, Ryleigh, Bryden, Kayden and Madi Myers, Brylee Clendenny, Arber Clendenny, and Ashlynn and Rielynn McCormick, a sister, Juliaetta “Judy” Gunterman of Pleasant Hill , a sister-in-law, Betty Watters Pence of Hamburg and numerous nephews.
Delcenia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Albert Watters, a grandson, Ryne Patrick Clendenny and a brother-in-law, Bill Gunterman.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (4-17-18) at 2:00 p.m. at the Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill conducted by Pastor Don Hannel. Burial will follow at Fox Creek Cemetery near Mozier. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
