Michigan State football gets 2019 commitment from 3-star WR Jase Bowen from Toledo

EAST LANSING –Shortly after Saturday's spring game, Michigan State landed another commitment for its 2019 recruiting class.

Wide receiver Jase Bowen announced via Twitter he would become a Spartan, bringing their 2019 total to five commitments

The 6-foot-1, 178-pound junior from Toledo Central Catholic is the 23rd-ranked player in Ohio and the No. 75 wide receiver nationally according to 247Sports.com. Bowen – who also is a highly regarded shortstop in baseball – also had football offers from Minnesota, Northwestern, WMU, EMU, Virginia and Kentucky, among other schools.

Bowen joins 4-star quarterback Dwan Mathis (Oak Park), 4-star cornerback Julian Barnett (Belleville), 3-star offensive lineman Spencer Brown (Walled Lake Western) and 3-star athlete Jordan Huff (Morgan County, Georgia) as the Spartans’ commitments for 2019.
