Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Shower Oils

If you cornered me a few years ago, I would have sworn myself to be a bath person through and through but the tides have certainly changed. Perhaps due to time restrictions, I much prefer a quick power shower to awaken, fresh and unwind. The downside of being a self-proclaimed shower lover? Easily the lack of luxurious products. If you enjoy a long or even a quick dip in the tub the world is your oyster, with entire brands dedicated to catering to your every whim and fancy, but for the world of shower-goers the choice is far more limited. Well perfectly bridging the gap between practicality and luxury is the new line of Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Shower Oils.

Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Shower Oils

It is no secret that I am a huge Jo Malone fragrance fiend - along side 99.9% of the general population - namely the Cologne Intense scents but unfortunately for myself (and of course others too) this is the Jo Malone branch off that doesn't quite see as much love in terms of new and accompanying body products. Well the art of showering is about become a whole lot more luxe once the Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Shower Oils drop and the good news is there's two scents to chose from each as alluring as the last: Velvet Rose & Oud (rich, powerful, strongly floral and slightly smoky) and Myrrh & Tonka (a perfectly unisex, opulent, sensual and warming).

At £35 for a body cleanser you will not be alone in expecting big and great things from the Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Shower Oils and the good news is that they more than deliver. A silky and instantly skin softening base of  Sunflower seed, jojoba and coconut oil glides over the skin in a way only a thick and glorious body oil could, quickly emulsifying to gently cleanse the skin in a matter of seconds, all the while leaving behind an intoxicating trail of fragrance. As the fragrance transfer is so intense (hence the name of the line) you may find there is no real need to mist on your favourite cologne after your dip under the water, however as with all Jo Malone products the shower oils have been created with scent layering in mind so this will provide a great and long lasting base for any other fragrance applied on top.

The fact of the matter is that once you try a shower oil you will find regular shower gel to err on the side of mundane, couple that with a Jo Malone signature scent - and of course a wonderful formulation - it may just be the end of showering as you know it, and another reason to claim you are staying in to "wash your hair".

The Jo Malone London Cologne Intense Shower Oils launch on the 1st of April and cost £35 each.
