Previously reported, March 22:

A Penn Township woman was charged and taken to prison after she allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend's home and stole some belongings, including a sex toy.

Kathy M. Klunk, 52, of the first block of Marietta Avenue, allegedly entered Peter Cooper's Conewago Township home and took about $10,000 worth of gold, diamond rings, a greeting card and an adult sex toy, according to an affidavit filed with District Judge Daniel Bowman.

Peter Cooper called police to report a non-active burglary on March 7 after he and his wife, Sandra Cooper, noticed the missing items.

He also told police that he had started dating Klunk when he thought his marriage was ending, but then broke up with her when he and Sandra Cooper made amends, which left Klunk upset, police said in the affidavit.

Peter Cooper also said that Klunk knew where he lived and that their back door may have been unlocked.

On March 8, police were again dispatched to the Cooper residence for a burglary in progress. When they arrived they made contact with Sandra Cooper and Klunk, the affidavit states.

Sandra Cooper told police that she saw Klunk drive past her home twice before parking across the street and walk to the rear of the residence, police said in the affidavit.

She also told police that she watched Klunk enter her home through an unlocked back door, so she grabbed Klunk and would not let her escape until police arrived, the affidavit states.

Klunk gave police consent for them to search her vehicle and home, which resulted in recovering some of the missing items.

She also told police that she did enter the Cooper home and took some of the missing items, the affidavit states.

Klunk was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, according to online court documents.

She is currently in Adams County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail and has a formal arraignment scheduled for April 16, documents state.
