Police at a DUI checkpoint in York County found a pound of marijuana under a passenger seat of a York man's vehicle early St. Patrick's Day, police said.

Officers smelled the odor of burnt marijuana when Gary Jabri Traynham, 43, of the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue, drove a tan Cadillac DeVille through the checkpoint around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police said in charging documents.

Traynham told police there was a pound of marijuana under the front passenger seat, and police found two grocery bags with marijuana in them, according to the arrest affidavit. Inside each of the grocery bags were several large, clear plastic bags containing "green leafy vegetable substance," police said.

The various plastic bags were labeled "Sundam Walk," "Critical Kush," "Sour Diesel," "Sour Apple," "Orange Widow," "Orange Roughy," "Dark Diesel" and "Egyptian OG," according to the arrest affidavit. Police also found $232 in cash and two small, empty plastic baggies when they searched Traynham's property, police said.

Police arrested Traynham and charged him with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was arraigned Saturday morning and his bail was set at $20,000, according to Central Booking.

Police said they did a field test on the green leafy vegetable substance they found in the plastic bags in Traynham's vehicle and it tested positive for the presence of marijuana, according to the arrest affidavit.
