Thousands gather for York's 35th St. Patrick's Day Parade

Thousands of people lined Market Street in York Saturday afternoon to watch the 35th annual York St. Patrick's Day Parade.

About 100 groups and organizations, including Irish dancers, marching bands and pipes and drums corps, participated. The parade stepped off at 1 p.m. Saturday and took about two hours to wind its way through York.

The 36th annual York St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019.
