On the third day of Central York School District staying closed because of threats, another district and a tech school in central Pa. have also closed.

Harrisburg School District said it would be closed Friday out of concern for safety after a threat circulated.

Statement from the district:

"Late last night,  District Administrators received communication regarding a threat circulating on social media regarding a potential school shooting involving the Harrisburg School District. The Superintendent and District officIals are working with the Harrisburg Bureau of Police and a full investigating is underway.

Please continue to support our safety and security efforts by reporting suspicious activities, concerning social media posts and/or conversations. Please contact your building principal, District Administration or the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.

Please stay tuned to local news stations for information and updates."

Harrisburg Police said Friday morning they were investigating, and that those with information should contact them at 717-558-6900 or Twealand@harrisburgpa.gov.

The Dauphin County Technical School also closed because of a social media threat, though it was unknown Friday morning if it was related to the Harrisburg threat.

The school closures, and other recent threats that have been found and investigated, come on the heels of last week's school shooting in Florida that left 17 dead.

Also, a school district in Lehigh County was forced to cancel classes Friday after a fire destroyed 25 school buses
