Bobbi Brown Extra

This is a very simple and small collection from Bobbi Brown but I couldn’t like it more. For a start, I love the Bobbi Lip Tints because they’re so balmy and leave a stain under the glossy finish so you get just a bit of a tint. This one (Bare Pink Sparkle) has a glitter element which I don’t love, but otherwise I can’t recommend them highly enough despite their £25.50 price tag!

The item I really love though is the Limited Edition Extra Glow Skincare Palette (£34) housing a phial of Extra Face Oil, Remedies Skin Salve and Extra Soothing Balm. Basically, if you’re heading to the slopes, it’s a gorgeous pocket sized skin care emergency kit in case the wind chill gets to you. I don’t remember seeing anything like this before but it seems an ingenious way to hold a small amount of skin care and make it completely portable. The brush on the top is showing the Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm (£44.50). Same moisturiser as before but this time infused with a bit of illumination (think MAC Strobe and then dial it down a couple of notches for the finish). The one I have is Bare Glow which is almost impossible to catch with a lens but it did give my skin extra sheen and highlight.

Finally, Opal Glow Highlighting Powder (£35.50) – forget all the subtlties of what you’ve seen from the rest of the collection; this one is high beam and all of the glow! It’s ultra light reflective with I think you’d say a rose aspect to it – quite a hard colour to define.

Here it is with the Extra Lip Tint.

I have to say that the swatches aren’t really reflective of the ‘glow’ elements to this – but, January light. From bottom to top: Illuminating Moisture Balm in Bare Glow, Extra Lip Tint in Bare Pink Sparkle and Opal Glow. It’s all HERE.
