What's open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in York County

If you're missing out on a big family dinner for Christmas, here's some places you can go for some food.

Not making the trip over the Susquehanna River or through Young's Woods to visit your grandmother for Christmas dinner? Here are some places that are open for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. 

The list will be updated with more restaurants as details become available.

Open Christmas Eve only

  • White Rose Bar & Grill, York
  • Lyndon Diner, York - Open until 7 p.m.
  • The Valley Tavern - Kitchen closes at 6 p.m., bar closes at 8 p.m.
  • New Freedom Restaurant - Open until 3 p.m.
  • Crimson American Grill - Last table seating is at 8 p.m.
  • Conewago Inn - Open for brunch from 11 to 2 p.m.
  • The Accomac, Wrightsville - Open for brunch 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., dinner from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Reservations required.
  • John Wright Restaurant, Wrightsville -  Open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations not required, but recommended.
  • The First Post, Springettsbury - Open until 2 p.m.
  • Bistec at Taste Test, York - Ticket-only dinner will be served. Tickets for the four-course dinner cost $40 and can be found at www.tastetestyork.com.
  • Warehouse Gourmet, Hanover - Open until 3 p.m. Reservations required.
  • The Roosevelt Tavern, York - Open Christmas Eve. Reservations required.
  • Cracker Barrel - Open until 2 p.m. 
  • Victor's, York - Kitchen is open until 2 p.m. Bar open until 5 p.m. Reservations required.
  • Applebee's - Open until 5 p.m.
  • Olive Garden - Open until 8 p.m.

Open Christmas Day

  •  The Valley Tavern - Kitchen is closed. Bar opens at 5 p.m.

Open Christmas Eve and Day

  • Denny's - Open 24 hours
  • IHOP - Open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • The Blue Heron, Springettsbury
  • Iron Horse York, York
  • Tutoni's, York
  • The Left Bank, York
  • The Coach Light, Shrewsbury - also closed Dec. 26.
