Tyrod Taylor carted off to Bills locker room after knee injury

USA TODAY Sports

Tyrod Taylor was carted off the field to the Buffalo Bills' locker room after sustaining a left knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor (5) runs the ball away from New England Patriots defensive tackle Deatrich Wise (91) during the first half at New Era Field.

Taylor was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Nathan Peterman replaced him at quarterback.

Taylor had completed nine of 18 passes for 65 yards and an interception before exiting the game. He has started all but one game for the Bills this season. Coach Sean McDermott opted to start Peterman against the Chargers in Week 11, but the rookie fifth-round pick threw five interceptions in the first half before being benched for Taylor.
