1. Accepting who God created you to be is the first step towards accepting how He created others
Opposites may attract at first, but those differences become challenging over time – and can be threatening to a relationship.
If you struggle with accepting people who are different than you, look inward and make sure you have fully embraced who it is God made you to be. Once that happens, it’s so much easier to accept others and live in relationship with them.
2. Learn how to recognize and respond to intimacy when it’s offered
Leaders have a hard time with intimacy. Often there’s a need for approval that prevents them from opening up and being transparent. But because intimacy is a shared experience between people, anyone can learn and grow from it.
When it’s offered, we have the choice to reject, ignore or accept it from others. Which choice do you make when people offer you shared experiences? Pray for the ability to recognize these opportunities in all areas of your life so you can respond to them and grow in intimacy with others. In the end, those moments will be what you treasure most.
3. Hurry takes us away from living fully aware of God’s presence
Hurry creates a burdened sense of preoccupation, ego, and selfishness. It’s a way of life that takes away from living fully aware of God’s presence and guidance.
He didn’t intend for us to miss out on living an enjoyable life. Find ways to remove hurry from your routine so you’re no longer living under the stress of all the things you think you have to do.
