An 18-year-old man was shot in his foot Sunday afternoon on Detroit's east side.
The man had been walking in the area of East State Fair and Waltham, said Dontae Freeman, social media manager for the Detroit Police Department. That's east of Hoover.
As the man was heading eastbound on State Fair, three men pulled up on him in a newer model Chrysler, possibly a Chrysler 200. They wore gray hoodies.
The man sitting in the rear passenger seat then pulled out a pistol and started firing shots. After being shot, the victim was privately driven to an area hospital, where he was in stable condition at last report.
Police are investigating.
