Lansing PD: One dead after crash on West Lapeer Street

LANSING - One person is dead after a crash three blocks from the Capitol building.

Lansing police officers responded to the scene at 3:45 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of West Lapeer Street, Sgt. Kris Doerr said.

The driver was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Doerr did not know the sex or age of the driver. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
