Charlotte police: Two dead after domestic dispute on S. Clinton Street

Two people are dead after a domestic dispute early Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, according to Charlotte police.

CHARLOTTE — Two people are dead after a domestic dispute, according to Charlotte police.

About 1:55 a.m. Saturday, police were called to the 1300 block of South Clinton Street, according to a news release.

A 46-year-old woman called 9-1-1 and told dispatchers she was fighting with her boyfriend who lived at the South Clinton Street residence.

When police arrived, no one answered the door or responded to phone calls, police said. Once they were able to enter the home, police discovered the woman and a 46-year-old man dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Their identities have not yet been released pending further investigation and notification of next of kin, according to the release.
