A York County-based developer has proposed converting a former elementary school in Springettsbury Township into apartments.

The Springettsbury Township Planning Commission on Thursday night will consider an application by Predix Properties for a zoning change for 2309 E. Philadelphia St

The requested change would permit converting the building, which was once home to Hiestand Elementary School, into apartments.

Developer Predix Properties wants to convert this building, the former Hiestand Elementary School in Springettsbury Township, into 12 market-rate apartments.

Predix Properties seeks to convert the building into 12 market-rate apartments, the memo said.

Developer Seth Predix has converted a number of buildings in York County into apartments, including Keystone Color Works, a former dye factor in York's Northwest Triangle, and City View Lofts in North York, a former Wolfgang Candy Co. building

Predix could not be reached for comment Thursday.

Other properties Predix has renovated include the Vern-Mar apartments in Springettsbury Township and the Elm Terrace apartments in York.
