Although the By Terry Preciosity Flash Light Compact is all dressed up in festive wrapping, I certainly wouldn’t be waiting a moment longer than you have to before using it! I think it’s By Terry’s most ornate compact to date and absolutely stunning.
See what I mean! Based on the same principle as the By Terry Compact Expert Dual Powders with a two tone powder, the central circle is a shimmering peachy shade with golden twinkles. The outer rim is more of a bronzed gold decorated with shapes. The overall effect is a light, rosy gold highlight.
It’s £48. I haven’t swatched this one – it’s been playing on my mind that once swatched, these products have no second life other than going to my friends who have enough highlighters anyway. I’m toying with the idea of not swatching some seasonal products like this (where I can show you little more than a gold lit stripe on my arm) so that I can give them to charity. I get a lot of requests as you can imagine, and make up various beauty hampers for different causes – however, if you feel strongly that you’d like to see it swatched, I’m happy to do so. There’s an RMK set that I will be posting later in the week that made me think maybe not everything needs to be striped over my arm for you to get the general nuance of the product. Obviously, I will continue to swatch most product.
The By Terry Preciosity Flash Light Compact has already launched a wait list HERE at Cult which is unusual, so it could indicate that they’re very limited.

It is so beautiful! I think that’s a lovely idea, not to swatch but to donate it. I thought that most charities are ok in taking lightly swatched/used products though?
Some charities I expect would take lightly swatched products but it’s just not suitable for some things – at least not as part of a fund raising hamper or something like that. I’d feel a bit cheated if I won a box of used makeup!
I think it’s a lovely idea to save it for donation.
