Man pleads guilty after viewing female in shower

Michael Bernard Wurdeman pleaded guilty through a plea agreement to invasion of privacy, according to online court documents.

He was sentenced to 12 months of probation.

Wurdeman also must complete a care program, complete drug and alcohol treatment and pay $455 in costs and fines, documents state.

He also must pay a $40 a month local offender supervision fee. 

Previously reported, Sept. 26:

A Carroll Valley Borough man was charged for allegedly watching a female through a window while she was in the shower. 

Police were dispatched July 18 to a house where Michael Bernard Wurdeman, 58, of the first block of Jacobs Trail, allegedly was peaking through a window to see the female in the bathroom, according to an affidavit filed with District Judge Mark Beauchat.

Wurdeman left the scene before police arrived, but police talked with the female who told them she was in the shower and heard a noise at the window. She said when she looked out the window she saw Wurdeman looking through, the affidavit states.

The female also told police she saw Wurdeman run to the back of the house.

Police called Wurdeman, and he told police that he did look through the window at the female in the bathroom, police said in an affidavit.

Wurdenman said he got a ladder, put it to the window and climbed up. He also told police he only saw the female's face, the affidavit states.

Wurdeman was charged with invasion of privacy and had non-monetary bail set on Sept. 13, according to online court documents.

He has a formal arraignment scheduled for Oct. 16, documents state.

Wurdeman's attorney information was not listed.
