After tonight's 79th meeting between Michigan State and Notre Dame, the two college football programs - only separated by two hours - will not play again until 2026.

There's been some instant classics over the years, especially more recent games like the 2005 "flag game" and the 2010 "Little Giants" win in overtime. Did we pick those two out specifically because this newspaper covers Michigan State? Probably.

The line has dropped a full point over the course of the week from Notre Dame -4 to -3 as of this writing. There are a lot of people who like Michigan State, including Detroit's own Keegan-Michael Key, who picked the Spartans to win on ESPN's College GameDay.

Should be a fun one tonight under the beautiful Spartan Stadium lights. Join us, won't you, with our Twitter live blog below.
