Police are looking for a man they say attacked a couple at their home in Fairview Township after he said he was looking for "Jason" and apparently didn't like their answer, according to a news release.

Just before 10 p.m. on Aug. 10, officers were sent to a home in the 100 block of Forest Drive. Once there, a man and woman told police they had just been assaulted by an unknown man, police said.

The couple said that someone rang their doorbell and when they answered, the man who rang it said he was looking for someone named "Jason." When the residents told the man that no one named Jason lived there, he said he did not believe them.

"The discussion became heated and the suspect pulled the male resident off the porch and down the front steps of the house," police said. "The male resident covered up his head as the suspect attempted to strike him. The female resident tried to step in and the suspect pushed her away and then ran off on foot."

The man was described as white, believed to be in his mid 30's, wearing a light blue T-shirt which had a logo on the front and jeans. He had dark hair and scruffy facial hair, police said.
