Preventing Financial Fraud Infographic

Following recent reports suggesting a significant rise in banking scams leading UK finance company, ABC Finance Limited, are pleased to present the ‘Fight Against Fraud’ project, as part of their August anti-fraud campaign.

The August anti-fraud campaign will see a whole month dedicated to offering free tools to help educate consumers how to protect their finances, of which includes free guides, and an easy to follow Banking Safely Infographic.

With fraudsters now focusing their efforts on impersonation techniques, duping many innocent people into handing over security details and unknowingly giving direct access to their hard earned money, ABC Finance believe education is the only real option in the fight against fraud;

Peter Hemming, Managing Director of ABC Finance Ltd, explains;

‘As banking systems become more and more intelligent, fraudsters are turning their attention to targeting the customer directly.

The problem is that the security measures for each bank aren’t widely known by their customers and tend to be hidden away in ignored sections of their websites.

We have developed the ‘Fight Against Fraud’ project to offer a place where the public can learn the leading High Street Banks anti-fraud measures are all available in one place, in an easy to digest format which can be shared with family and friends who may be more vulnerable than others.’

As part of the ‘Fight Against Fraud’ project, ABC Finance Ltd will offer free to download guides of how to protect your money from Phishing scams, Vishing Scams, Smishing scams and more.

The family ran company will also offer a free ‘Banking Safely’ infographic, which features all leading High Street banks security measures, what they will and won’t ask consumers, how to spot a scam, and what to do if you think you have been a victim of fraud.

Last month The National Audit Office (NAO) said it was hard to see how the current response to the cyber crime, now the most commonly experienced offence in England and Wales, could be seen as "proportionate, efficient or effective” With almost two million cyber-related fraud incidents estimated to have taken place in a single year alone with the cost likely to run into billions of pounds, ABC Finance Ltd hope the new project will help educate members of the public to protect themselves from these criminal acts.
