Police were dispatched around 3:15 a.m. to the 1800 block of East Michigan Avenue in response to a possible burglary, according to Lansing Police Public Information Director Robert Merritt.

CHARLOTTE - Two Lansing men believed to be responsible for an Eaton County home invasion were arrested Saturday evening and are awaiting criminal charges, the Sheriff's Office said in a release.

The men, whose names weren't released because they had not been formally arraigned, are 24 and 26 years old. The Sheriff's Office submitted requests to prosecutors for charges of first-degree home invasion and unlawful driving away of an automobile.

According to the release:

Eaton County deputies responded to a home in Brookfield Township, located in the southeast portion of the county, around 9 a.m. Saturday for a reported home invasion.

The residents told deputies that while they slept unknown suspects entered the home and stole a vehicle, credit cards and other items. Deputies later identified two suspects and relayed their information to surrounding police departments.
