Costco seeks 130 new hires in East Lansing starting Monday

EAST LANSING - Costco has opened a temporary office in East Lansing to bring in prospective employees for interviews next week.

The warehouse, being built at 5800 Park Lake Road, is expected to open in October and will employ roughly 200 people. Costco set up its office at 3050 E. Lake Lake Lansing Road, Suite 1A, two weeks ago and has been interviewing current employees wishing to transfer, said Patrick Mulholland, warehouse manager.

On Monday, Costco will begin reviewing new applications. Mulholland expects to hire roughly 130 new employees. The interviewing process will continue throughout August.

Applications are still being accepted. To apply, visit costco.com/jobs.html and click "apply now." Select the East Lansing location and pick the job you want to apply for.

Costco will bring people to the Lake Lansing Road location for interviews. If selected, applicants should bring their resumes, Mulholland said. People can also visit the location to sign up for a membership.

Available positions include cashier, stocker. food service, forklift driver, maintenance worker and membership marketing. Jobs start at $13 an hour and pay more depending on the position.
