Hanover crash leaves 1 dead

A 79-year-old man died Saturday after his car was struck by another vehicle in Hanover, according to police.

George Hart, of Hanover, was taken to York Hospital where he died from injuries related to the crash, borough police said. He died from multiple blunt force trauma.

Police and fire units were called to the intersection of Stock and McCosh streets around 8:30 a.m.

According to police, a 2016 Hyundai Tucson being driven by Timothy Newman, also of Hanover, struck Hart's 1989 Ford Festiva.

No further details, including if there were other injuries, were released. Newman's age was not provided.
