Michigan State to wear #AllWhiteEverything, including helmet, against WMU

EAST LANSING – Fans have clamored for them for years. And Michigan State is answering.

The hashtag? #AllWhiteEverything

A short video released by the football program’s Twitter account revealed the Spartans are planning to wear all-white uniforms with new white helmets when they host Western Michigan on Sept. 9.

According to SpartanJerseys.com, the last time MSU wore white helmets was in 1954. The Spartans went 3-6 that season.

MSU has worn a number of alternate helmets the past few years, including the green Hydrochrome reflective ones and bronze matte ones more recently.

The Spartans and Broncos will play at 3:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on Big Ten Network.
