James Ives, Education and Outreach Coordinator for the MSU Surplus Store hold up a game-used Draymond Green jersey that can be yours for the price of $300.

Draymond Green left something behind when he left East Lansing for the NBA.

And, if you have $300, it’s yours.

Green’s No. 23 game-worn road jersey from 2012, along with hundreds of Spartans football jerseys, memorabilia, apparel and signage are all for sale Saturday morning at Jenison Fieldhouse on the Michigan State campus.

If you have a few extra shekels, the MSU Surplus Store is also selling game-worn alternate helmets.

The MSU Athletic Department is parting with a handful of the green hydrochrome helmets. You know, the ones they wore at Michigan in 2012? They also have the bronze matte-finished headwear the Spartans rocked in 2011.

“The bronze helmets will start at $1,500 a piece,” said James Ives, education and outreach coordinator for the MSU Surplus Store. “The chrome ones are $2,000. We are putting a limit of two each on these.”

Rows of shirts, shoes, cleats and old photos are awaiting what Ives hopes to be “at least 1,000 people” when doors open at 10 a.m. The sale will also include game-used basketballs, autographed hockey sticks, bats and balls, and old signs that have been used around Spartan Stadium and the Breslin Center.

For the ultimate collector, there is a framed aerial shot of the 1988 Rose Bowl, along with numerous other framed photos of famous Spartans and teams from throughout the school's history.

MSU Surplus Store employee Grace Basa checks prices and lays out clothing inside Jenison Fieldhouse Friday afternoon in East Lansing. The MSU Surplus Store is putting on a "spring cleaning" sale for the athletic department, selling jerseys, helmets, shoes, clothing and other Spartan memorabilia.

Nearly 4,000 fans have said they are “interested” in the sale on the company’s Facebook page. According to Ives, calls have been pouring in from as far away as Chicago.

“We are pricing this stuff for the fan and the collector,” he said, “not someone who is going to resale it.”

Ives said the MSU Athletic Department is doing a “spring cleaning” of sorts in preparation of moving to the new 1855 Place complex on campus. The two are partnering for the first time to put on this all-Spartan sports sale.

“It’s time to purge,” Ives said Friday inside the former home of Spartan basketball. “The coaches all cleared out their offices and storage space and sent it to us.”

All money from the inaugural sale will go back to the MSU Athletic Department. Everything that goes unsold will appear on online at msusurplusstore.com. Jenison’s doors will close to the public at 5 p.m.

Cash, credit and debit cards will be accepted. Parking will be available in the Jenison and IM West lots, with overflow parking available in Lots 62 and 79.

The Eat-At-State Food Truck and MSU Dairy Store mobile vehicle also will be selling food.
