I’m pleased to announce the release of Office 365 for IT Pros, 4rd Edition. This new edition of the industry’s leading Office 365 book has been updated with the very latest changes and new features in Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud services.

For this new edition we had four primary goals:

  • Restructure the book to better align with the way that Office 365 services co-exist today
  • Add new material, including Skype for Business Online coverage by MVP Ståle Hansen
  • Improve the coverage in other areas such as Office 365 Groups, Teams, and Intune
  • Remove obsolete material such as deprecated features

With 26 chapters spanning more than 1000 pages, Office 365 for IT Pros is the perfect eBook for:

  • Consultants and sysadmins tasked with migrating an organization to Office 365
  • IT professionals expected to manage or support Office 365 services
  • Experienced IT professionals who may be tasked with supporting services in Office 365 that they previously did not support on-premises
  • Help desk staff required to support Office 365 services and clients
  • IT pros looking for practical, real-world material to complement their training

Hi Paul, what is the URL for Ebooks of Exchange On prem servers?

    Hi

I don’t know if this is relevant here. In your 3rd edition Office 365 for IT Pros page 122 you state, ” A server assigned with a hybrid license can also act as an SMTP relay server for applications or devices on the corporate network.” Does this statement still hold in the 4th edition (haven’t got the latest copy yet) or today i seem to have an issue where MS is suggesting to my colleague that we can not create relay’s with a hybrid license (out of the scope of bridge between Exchange Online and On Premises).

Exchange 2010 hybrid setup and looking to complete the migration.

    Thanks

    Great Work Guys!
The 3th Edition helped me alot, but is there any way to just read the new chapters and not every single site again :)?

We can’t just issue a diff or direct you towards the new stuff because it’s not just new chapters. Existing chapters have been reorganized and rewritten, anywhere from minor updates to reflect slight changes in functionality, to complete overhauls due to major changes.

For people who are already reasonably up to speed with Office 365 what we often find is that they’ll use the book as a reference to refresh their understanding of something before they dive into it further for their org. Or read about something for the first time that might have drastically changed between when they first bought the book and when they actually get around to adopting it.

Such is life in the cloud.
