Quarterback Trace McSorley will get a chance for redemption against Pitt in Week 2 in Beaver Stadium. Surprisingly, neither the Pitt or Ohio State games will be played in prime time. Both will start at 3:30 p.m.

Nearly half of the start times are now set for Penn State's upcoming season with, surprisingly, no prime time slots yet filled.

Four more kickoff times have been announced, adding to the Nittany Lions' season-opener against Akron at noon in Beaver Stadium.

Interestingly enough, Penn State and Ohio State — two expected Top 10 preseason teams — will not meet under the lights for the first time since 2011. The Oct. 28 game in Columbus will start at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by Fox.

The highly anticipated matchup with Pitt in Beaver Stadium on Sept. 9 also will start at 3:30. Television has not yet been determined for the Panthers' first trip to State College since 1999.

Other announced game times include the Oct. 7 trip to Northwestern and homecoming against Rutgers on Nov. 11. Both will start at noon.

Penn State's White Out game with Michigan on Oct. 21 probably will play in prime time, though nothing has been publicized yet. The other most likely night games include the Sept. 23 trip to Iowa and the Nov. 18 home game against Nebraska.

The Lions may face one of the most difficult stretches in college football this season with consecutive games against Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State, the last two on the road.
