LANSING - Michigan State reportedly has added another recruit to its 2017 class.

West Des Moines Valley High kicker Cole Hahn committed to play for Michigan State this fall.

Kicker Cole Hahn from West Des Moines Valley High in Iowa tweeted this morning that he has accepted a scholarship offer from the Spartans for this fall. He had committed in January to walk on for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Hahn, 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, is considered the 26th-best kicker in the 2017 class, according to ESPN.com, and was the No. 15 prospect at the Kohl’s Camps for kickers. He made 23 of 33 field-goal attempts in his high school career, including a 52-yarder as a senior, and sent 59 of his 66 kickoffs for touchbacks last season according to the Des Moines Register.

He is a high school teammate of MSU quarterback signee Rocky Lombardi.

Hahn’s commitment pushed the Spartans’ 2017 class to 25 players. They are now ranked No. 34 in the nation and No. 6 in the Big Ten according to 247Sports.com.

MSU coach Mark Dantonio said in February that redshirt freshman kicker Matt Coughlin, a former grayshirt, was placed on scholarship for the spring semester. The Spartans also have senior and Western Michigan transfer Brett Scanlon at kicker on their spring roster.

PAULINO-BELL UPDATE: The aunt of MSU signee Lashawn Paulino-Bell updated his GoFundMe.com page and said her nephew remains in the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

“We had some hiccups to overcome in the past 72 hours, but all is well in the house of the LORD!!!” Suzie Jean wrote Wednesday evening.

Jean wrote that the senior from St. Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale has been doing his classwork remotely from the hospital and has been making friends with the nurses at the trauma center and hospital.

“He has his moments of restlessness, due to his current sedentary lifestyle,” she wrote, “however he is learning to cope with it.”

Paulino-Bell reportedly suffered internal injuries in a jet-ski accident on April 17 in Nassau, Bahamas. He was flown to Miami for treatment. His family said he is in stable condition but have not provided specifics about his accident or injuries.

On Tuesday, Paulino-Bell broke his personal silence on Twitter by writing: “Woke Up This Morning Feeling 10x Better I Think I'm Ready To Come On Home.”

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end from Tamarac, Florida signed with the Spartans on Feb. 1. He was rated No. 33 at defensive end by ESPN.com, No. 41 at his position by Scout.com and was a consensus top 100 player in Florida at St. Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale.
