In the last 48 hours, police have responded to a handful of incidents, spanning from a double homicide-suicide and pedestrians in critical condition.

3-year-old dies in double murder-suicide in Manchester Township

Distinguished Young Women contest injured in hit-and-run

  • A man has been charged for allegedly hitting a 16-year-old girl with his car Sunday and leaving her unconscious by the side of the road. The teen is Distinguished Young Women of York County contestant and Northeastern High School student Abigail Osborn. The man who has been charged is 24-year-old David Michael Kent Jr.

Springettsbury pedestrian in critical condition

  • A 37-year-old man was taken to the hospital Sunday with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car in Springettsbury.

  • A female motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday in Conewago Township. Jennifer Bortner, a 36-year-old Spring Grove resident, died at the scene.
