48 hours in York County: Homicides, suicide, pedestrians struck

In the last 48 hours, police have responded to a handful of incidents, spanning from a double homicide-suicide and pedestrians in critical condition.
3-year-old dies in double murder-suicide in Manchester Township
- Police found three people dead Sunday at a house in Manchester Township: A 21-year-old man, his 50-year-old mother, and his 3-year-old daughter. The scene indicates that this was a planned pact between the man and his mother. The coroner's office ruled the deaths of the mom and the daughter as homicide, and the death of the 21-year-old as suicide.

Distinguished Young Women contest injured in hit-and-run
- A man has been charged for allegedly hitting a 16-year-old girl with his car Sunday and leaving her unconscious by the side of the road. The teen is Distinguished Young Women of York County contestant and Northeastern High School student Abigail Osborn. The man who has been charged is 24-year-old David Michael Kent Jr.

Man killed in police-involved shooting
- A 79-year-old man who shot at state police troopers early Monday morning died from his injuries after police returned fire. The man had mental health issues, according to police, and was allegedly threatening violence around 3:30 a.m.

Springettsbury pedestrian in critical condition
- A 37-year-old man was taken to the hospital Sunday with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car in Springettsbury.

Motorcyclist killed in crash in Conewago Township
- A female motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday in Conewago Township. Jennifer Bortner, a 36-year-old Spring Grove resident, died at the scene.
