Sexual assault reported at MSU

A 59-year-old Battle Creek woman was killed and the driver of a car arrested after a crash at 8:11 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017.

EAST LANSING - Michigan State University Police are searching for a man alleged to have committed a sexual assault on campus.

The assault occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday near the Beaumont Tower, according to an MSU alert.

The suspect is described as a white male, between the ages of 20 and 25. He has short brown hair, brown eyes and was wearing a black shirt, according to the alert.

Anyone with information is asked to call the MSU Police Department at 517-355-2221 or 911 for emergencies or crimes in progress.

No further information was immediately available. An update from the Michigan State University Police Department isn't expected until Monday at the earliest.
