Portions of Ingham County under severe thunderstorm warning

LANSING - Southern Ingham County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 3 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

The warning includes Mason, Leslie and Webberville.

Storms are moving across the state today, but the worst of the weather is expected to stay south and east of the Lansing area. In metro Detroit today, there is the possibility of 60 m.p.h. wind gusts, hail and even a low risk of a tornado this evening.

In the Lansing area, thunderstorms are likely until 7 p.m., according to the weather service's website.
